Tyler Blue, Paul Wallace and Ty Blue have joined the company in its Washington, DC, office. J. Tyler Blue joins as an Executive Vice President, Paul Wallace as a Senior Vice President and Ty Blue as a Vice President. Together, they bring more than 63 years of experience in real estate finance to BWE.

J. Tyler Blue specializes in commercial and agency financing as well as equity placements for clients across the country. Over his more than three-decade career, he has financed multifamily, office, industrial, retail, self-storage and hotel property deals. Prior to joining BWE, J. Tyler was a Senior Managing Director and the head of the Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets Group for Berkadia. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Vice President and head of Walker & Dunlop’s Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.
With more than 19 years of experience in mortgage banking, Paul Wallace specializes in providing financing solutions for commercial real estate owners throughout the Mid-Atlantic. He has deep lending relationships with a wide range of capital sources, and his primary focus is arranging debt and equity financing for a broad range of income-producing asset types, including multifamily, retail, office, medical-office, hospitality, self-storage and industrial properties. Prior to BWE, Paul was a Managing Director at Berkadia. He received his bachelor’s degree in English from Washington & Lee University.
Ty Blue is experienced in structuring debt opportunities on all asset types from an array of capital sources, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, life companies, banks, CMBS and debt funds. He also provides advisory services for his clients on acquisitions and dispositions. Before joining BWE, Ty was an Associate Director at Berkadia, where he was directly involved in real estate transactions from a variety of capital sources. Before Berkadia, he was a Research Associate at the CoStar Group, where he was responsible for establishing the Multifamily Rental Database following the acquisition of Apartments.com. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Virginia.
