Professional experience

Taylor Mokris is a seasoned real estate executive and Senior Vice President of Seniors Housing & Care at BWE, with over a decade of experience in seniors housing capital markets and more than $8 billion in closed transaction activity. Specializing in debt and equity financing, he has played a key role in securing competitive capital solutions for many of the industry’s leading owners and operators. Taylor is part of a high-performing team focused on real estate finance as a Fannie Mae DUS® lender, Freddie Mac Optigo® seller/servicer, Life Company correspondent lender, and FHA LEAN lender. In addition, he sources competitive construction, acquisition, bridge, and permanent financing while also providing investment sales advisory services.

Before joining BWE, Taylor was a credit officer covering Specialty Real Estate Capital, within Wells Fargo’s Corporate & Investment Bank, where he oversaw credit approval and portfolio management for the Senior Housing Finance and Multifamily Capital divisions. He helped drive more than $6 billion in seniors housing originations and oversaw a healthcare asset portfolio of over $3 billion. Prior to that, he was a relationship manager on Wells Fargo’s Senior Housing Finance team since its inception in 2014. Taylor began his career in Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Managed Assets Group, helping manage $1 billion in distressed CRE assets.

Outside of work, Taylor is deeply committed to his family, a wife and four children, and his community in Charlotte, NC, where he coaches youth sports, mentors young professionals, and serves on multiple nonprofit boards.

Education

Taylor attended The College of William & Mary on a full basketball scholarship, earning a degree in business administration with a major in finance and a concentration in accounting. He is also a graduate of Wells Fargo’s three-year Wholesale Banking Financial Analyst Program and has served as a guest lecturer at The College of William & Mary’s Mason School of Business.

An active industry leader, Taylor is a member of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA), and is a frequent speaker on industry panels.
