Professional experience

Sam is a Senior Vice President and Principal at BWE. Sam joined the company in 2013 and has structured and closed equity and debt transactions with a total capitalized value of more than $7 billion. This includes debt and equity investments in multifamily, industrial, retail, office, senior housing, self-storage, and mixed-use projects with institutional investors such as life insurance companies, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS, debt funds, and commercial banks. Sam also advises clients in acquisitions, dispositions, investment analysis, equity and joint venture structuring, loan modifications, and property valuation.

Sam started his career at Ernst & Young (EY) in Chicago, IL working as a consultant in their Financial Services Office. While at Ernst & Young, Sam worked with global financial service companies (banks, hedge funds, etc.), assisting them on projects ranging from the implementation of complex fully integrated trading systems to compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act.
