Professional experience

Paul Smith is a Senior Vice President at BWE, responsible for originating debt and equity opportunities with a particular focus on multifamily housing. Paul joined BWE in 2022 and has over 18 years of experience in capital markets.

Paul has successfully originated and executed financings across all levels of the capital stack including first mortgages, subordinate debt, and joint venture equity. Paul has experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, Life Insurance Companies, Debt Funds, and Banks.

Prior to BWE, Paul led capital markets efforts for JLL in Ohio. Paul began his career at Red Capital Group, where he held various positions.
