Professional experience
Thompson joined BWE in 2020 following the acquisition of his company, Maher Commercial Mortgage LLC, formerly a part of Wells Fargo. Thompson leads the Philadelphia office and the production team that also joined BWE in 2020. With a career spanning four decades, Thompson brings deep expertise in securing debt and equity for commercial real estate properties across asset classes. As the founding member of Maher Commercial Mortgage and its predecessors, he played a pivotal role in growing the firm from a regional operation into a respected national platform. Throughout his career, he has maintained strong relationships with institutional investors, including life insurance companies and pension fund advisors, and was instrumental in growing the servicing portfolio substantially during his time leading MCM.
