Professional experience

Sara Misbah is Senior Vice President and Director of Consent Management of the Asset Management Team at BWE. Sara and her team are responsible for handling post-closing consent requests for agency and life Lenders. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Sara joined BWE in April 2018 as a Senior Asset Manager. In September 2023, she was promoted to her current position. During this six-year period, Sara and the BWE team have grown the servicing portfolio from under $18 billion to over $55 billion.

Prior to joining BWE, Sara spent 12 years at PNC Bank. She started off in the Corporate Commercial and Institutional Banking rotational program as an analyst, where she was responsible for working on middle market and large corporate underwriting transactions for both the Production and Credit Portfolio Management teams. During her time as an analyst, she did a Commercial Real Estate (CRE) rotation, where she was offered a full-time position as a CRE Associate Banker. From there, she worked her way up to become a CRE Senior Underwriter. During her time in the PNC Real Estate group, Sara helped structure and underwrite a plethora of diverse types of transactions in every asset class. She became the health care specialist handling REIT, construction, and existing term loan transactions.

Sara is an original member of the Advisory Board of the BWE Foundation, where she has helped award scholarships to underrepresented students in the CRE industry. She continues to serve on the Advisory Board and has helped create much of the framework and criteria that is still in existence today for the scholarship program. Sara also serves on the BWE Workplace, Culture, and Engagement Council.

Sara graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in the top 5% of her class. She is a Phi Kappa Phi recipient. Sara resides in Strongsville, Ohio, the city in which she was also raised.
