Professional experience

Robert is a Vice President and originator with more than 13 years of experience financing multifamily properties nationwide. As a member of BWE’s production team, he originates construction, bridge and permanent debt across a broad range of capital sources, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, life insurance companies, debt funds, banks and CMBS lenders. Since joining BWE in 2020, Robert has been involved in more than $6 billion in closed multifamily transactions throughout the United States.

Prior to this, Robert was part of BWE’s Agency Sales and Structuring group, where he managed a team responsible for front-end underwriting and preliminary sizing of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conventional loans originated nationally. This experience provided him with a deep understanding of agency execution and the broader financing process, which he brings to his work with clients today.

Before joining BWE, Robert was a member of the multifamily debt and equity team in CBRE’s San Francisco office. He also served as a Freddie Mac contract underwriter with Situs in Atlanta and as an underwriter and portfolio manager in the commercial real estate group at State Bank & Trust in Atlanta, which became Cadence Bank through merger.

Robert lives in Raleigh with his wife and son. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, college football and traveling.
