Professional experience

Ray Picone joined BWE as a Senior Vice President in 2024 where he specializes in providing a broad range of financing solutions for commercial real estate assets with a focus on multifamily properties. Ray has over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate, involving direct origination of GSE backed mortgages, brokering bridge and bank loans, as well as working with correspondent life companies. Additionally, Ray has successfully structured and originated GSE compliant preferred equity as well as provided other creative capital stack solutions to serve as a complete CRE advisor for his clients.

Prior to joining BWE, Ray was at Colliers Mortgage, Key Bank, and JLL; with all roles focusing on the origination of various loan products for commercial real estate or in portfolio management. Through his experience, he has been able to understand the credit environments for multiple capital sources to best serve his clients’ needs in an ever-changing capital markets environment.
