Professional experience
With over a decade of diverse debt structuring experience in fixed income, Mitch Ross currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Director of Agency CMBS Trading at BWE in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mitch’s journey with BWE began in June 2019 as a Capital Markets Analyst. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the Assistant Vice President, Capital Markets Trader in July 2021, and then Vice President in January 2023, before taking over as Director of Agency CMBS trading in January 2026. In his current role, Mitch specializes in the structuring, trading/pricing, and distribution of Agency loan pricing information, with a focus on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA multifamily assets. Additionally, his responsibilities include tracking global fixed income markets and distributing market news and trends to various business units within BWE.
Before joining BWE, Mitch built a solid foundation across the fixed-income industry. He worked at Duncan-Williams, Inc., where he held the role of Associate Vice President for over five years. There he had exposure to both public and corporate finance sectors. Mitch previously held Series 79, 52, and 63 security licenses and has been trained in securities and Bloomberg fixed income pricing and cash flow analysis.

Mitch holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business through their Global Executive Program. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Harvard University, where he was a four-year letterman in football and actively involved in community service initiatives, including managing blood and bone marrow drives.
