Professional experience
Max Sauerman is a Senior Vice President at BWE in the Los Angeles, CA office and has been involved in commercial real estate finance since 2005 as both a mortgage banker and lender. His current responsibilities include the sourcing and placement of debt and equity for all types of income-producing real estate including industrial, office, retail, multifamily, manufactured housing, self-storage, medical office buildings, and hotels. Capital assignments have included raising JV equity for multifamily construction and originating nonrecourse fixed rate, mezzanine, and bridge loans utilizing an extensive base of capital sources including life insurance companies, banks, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD CMBS, finance companies, and investment funds.
Prior to joining BWE, Max was a vice president with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital. Before Grandbridge, Max was an investment analyst with AEGON USA Realty Advisors in Louisville, KY, where he performed a variety of roles including underwriting, pricing, and preparing loan committee presentations for investment opportunities.

Max is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and holds a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in real estate and finance.
