Matt MacCaughelty, CCIM is the Director of Strategic Capital Partnerships at BWE where he leads the bridge to Agency and FHA lending platform. Prior to joining BWE, Matt served as Capital Markets Director for Liberty Senior Living based in Wilmington, NC. Previously, Matt served as Vice President for Grandbridge Real Estate Capital where he was responsible for screening and closing agency loans for Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. He was Chief Underwriter of BB&T Real Estate Funding, a wholly owned lending platform of Grandbridge that included structuring, underwriting, and closing of construction, bridge, and permanent loan opportunities for commercial and multifamily real estate transactions throughout the U.S.

Matt has more than 15 years’ experience in commercial real estate and still maintains a North Carolina real estate broker’s license. Matt is a member of MBA Future Leaders and holds the CCIM designation. Matt served as senior project manager and commercial real estate broker at Cardinal Real Estate Partners where he was responsible for all transactions of the firm, including all aspects of buying, selling, leasing, and developing commercial real estate.
