Mark M. Durfee is a Senior Vice President at BWE. Prior to joining BWE, Mark was Vice President in Grandbridge Real Estate Capital’s Orange County, Ca., production office. Mark joined Grandbridge following the Dwyer-Curlett & Co., acquisition in November 2012, where he was a valuable member of the Orange County loan production team since 2005. Mark has more than 20 years of experience in the capitalization of all asset types including, but not limited to multifamily, office, retail, industrial, hotels, mobile home parks, medical office, and self-storage properties. He is responsible for managing loan placement in the Orange County office which entails analyzing financial data required to underwrite real estate loans for BWE’s broad base of capital providers and proprietary lending platforms, and placing clients with investors that best meet the financial requirements of their properties. His duties include managing and facilitating the loan process, from underwriting to loan closing through daily interaction with borrowers, capital sources, and third-party vendors. Prior to joining Dwyer-Curlett and Co., Mark worked in the real estate capital markets for a successful mortgage banking firm in Bethesda, Md., and for a real estate development firm in northern Virginia.
