Professional experience

Kenan specializes in the placement of debt, mezzanine, and equity on behalf of life insurance companies, CMBS, and CTL lenders, Government Agencies and other institutional investors.

Prior to BWE, Kenan was a Vice President at Capital Advisors, Inc., following a successful career as a developer in Raleigh and Cary, North Carolina. Kenan began his real estate career in 1988 as a commercial leasing agent in Atlanta and later worked in the Raleigh office of Shoptaw-James, an Atlanta-based mortgage banking firm that was acquired by L.J. Melody/CBRE.

Kenan holds a B.A. and Executive MBA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a graduate of Woodberry Forest School, Woodberry Forest, VA
