Professional experience

Jake Roberts joined BWE as a Senior Vice President in 2024 where he specializes in advising clients on the best capital structures for their real estate financing needs and securing financing for all major asset types including multifamily, industrial, retail, office, medical office, hospitality, and specialty use projects. Financing types include ground up construction debt, bridge debt, permanent debt, mezzanine debt, preferred equity and, joint-venture equity.

Prior to joining BWE, Jake was at Abundance Capital, a boutique mortgage banking shop he founded in March 2019. While at Abundance, Jake closed over $8 billion in financing across all major property types. Prior to Abundance Capital, Jake had over 17 years of commercial real estate finance experience, first starting at HFF in 2002 and then as the top financing professional at IPA Capital. Jake has secured commercial debt and equity financing for assets across the country with total debt and equity originations in excess of $8 billion. He is well connected with national, regional, and local funding sources including, but not limited to, agency lenders (e.g. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public funds, and bridge lenders and has sourced capital on all major asset types.
