Professional experience

As Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriter for BWE’s FHA lending platform, Ibi is responsible for the company’s processing, underwriting and closing of all FHA-insured multifamily and healthcare transactions. Ibi manages a team of underwriting professionals spread throughout the country from a remote office in Seattle, Washington.

Prior to joining BWE in January 2015, Ibi worked with Berkadia Commercial Mortgage (and its predecessor companies) for 18 years, starting as an administrative assistant and processor, ultimately being promoted to Senior Underwriter. As an underwriter, Ibi directly underwrote more than $250 million in multifamily and healthcare transactions and was responsible for training numerous MAP and LEAN-accredited underwriters. Prior to his tenure at Berkadia, Ibi spent four years working in various capacities at the Chicago Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development after a four-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy.
