Professional experience

Tanner began his mortgage banking career in 2002. A graduate of the College of Charleston, Tanner currently serves as Executive Vice President and Senior Originator at BWE’s Raleigh office. He has specialized almost exclusively in the origination, processing, and servicing of FHA-insured project loans. He has been particularly active using the FHA Section 221(d)(4), 232, 223(f) and 223(a)(7) programs. These loans have encompassed a wide array of residential housing types, and have employed a large variety of funding sources, including FNMA, GNMA, Taxable and Tax-Exempt bonds, HOME, CDBG, and Historic and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits.

He is married with three children and a member of Edenton Street United Methodist Church. He enjoys the outdoors.
