Professional experience

Ghazy is a member of the origination team at BWE and specializes in arranging financing for all commercial real estate assets with a focus on conventional multifamily properties as well as Manufactured Housing Communities on a national level. Ghazy joined the company in 2017 as an Agency Senior Underwriter focused on underwriting and closing 82 agency loans totaling $532 million in debt on multifamily assets over a two-year period. Now as a member of the originations team, Ghazy focuses on becoming part of his client’s team in order to provide world-class service and consulting on their growth and debt strategies. He uses his prior experience as an underwriter to help guide clients through the lending process and provide them with a certainty of execution by anticipating potential roadblocks and providing creative solutions.

Prior to joining BWE in 2017, Ghazy served as a Professional Underwriter/Team Lead at Freddie Mac Multifamily, one of the two Government Sponsor Entities (Agencies). While there, he co-led the Central Region Manufactured Housing Community underwriting team and managed some of the largest Seller/Servicer accounts in the Texas market – the largest market in the Region. He ultimately underwrote and closed over $1 Billion in debt during his time there.

Prior to Freddie Mac, Ghazy worked in various underwriting/production capacities including as an Assistant Vice President/Underwriter for Fannie Mae transactions at Red Capital Group and as a Senior Analyst at Arbor Realty Trust screening and structuring Agency, FHA, and Bridge loans. Over the course of his 10-year career, Ghazy has underwritten and closed over $1.75 billion in loans.
