Alicia DeCant is BWE’s Chief Human Resources Officer, based in the Columbus office. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, Alicia plays a pivotal role in driving strategic growth initiatives for the company.
With 18 years of experience, Alicia has a proven track record in crafting transformative human capital strategies and leading high-performing HR teams in both domestic and international settings. She excels in building centers of excellence and delivering agile, innovative HR solutions tailored to small and mid-sized companies.
Before joining the company, Alicia served as Senior Vice President of People at Accuserve Solutions. There, she spearheaded a comprehensive people strategy, established an HR infrastructure to support rapid growth, and helped position the company for a successful exit in under three years. She also led HR strategy for over 600 employees across the U.S., driving leadership development, cultural transformation, and business success.
Education
Alicia earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio Northern University and an MBA specializing in HR Management from the University of Toledo. She is also a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). A former collegiate athlete, Alicia played four years of Women’s Basketball at ONU, demonstrating leadership and teamwork both on and off the court.
